RAVINE OF POQUEIRA from Bubión to Cerro de la Atalaya you can enjoy this spectacular route. Believe or not, this place was choosen by Buddhist to found their own temple and Buddha himself has born place of one of the reincarnation of lama Osel.

GUADALFEO VALLEY Órgiva surroundings offers nice walks along the Guadalfeo river bank, which creates natural dams as Venta del Puente where you can enjoy a bath.
At the edge of the river there are orange trees, almond trees and trophical fruits and also very old olive trees.
If you come here when the blossomoing of orange trees you will discover live one of the most incredible smells of the mother nature: azahar (orange blossom)

LA CALDERA SMALL LAKE The mountain walk from Pico Veleta to Mulhacén will allow you to discover some botanical treasures as a beautiful flower called violeta de Sierra Nevada (Violet of Sierra Nevada).
In this walk, at 2.700 meters high, Las Yeguas small lake and Caldera small lake are located. Caldera small lake is the starting point to Mulhacén climb.
If you get the peak you will be in the highest point of Spain, at 3.482 meters high.

CHESTNUT GROVE IN LANJARÓN from Lanjarón as starting point and going up throught the way to the mountain range, the chestnut trees woods are getting dense. If you go during the spring you will enjoy the blossom of this trees and during the autumn their leafs gets thousand different tones.

SIERRA DE LA CONTRAVIESA This sierra, which is accesible from Órgiva, separate the mountains from the coast, and here you will enjoy gorgeous landscapes.
A way we recommend cross an oak trees forest and from the top you may enjoy a beautiful overlooking which includes the small town called Alfornón.

PICO VELETA from all the ways around Sierra Nevada peaks it is one called camino de Los Neveros, which was made by those first ice merchants.
After to press the snow, they went down to the cities and sell it to the hospitals and for the rich people fun.
The cold weather, snow and quietness will impress you.

THE MOUNTAIN PASS OF LA RAGUA This beautiful mountain pass, near by Ugijar, is a natural pass between La Alpujarra of Granada and the north side of Sierra Nevada. You will think you are in Alpine landscape, even more if you go during the winter.
