This Cortijo is a country hotel located in the heart of Andalucia. Only 12km. from the picturesque town of Ronda, in the Natural Park of Grazalema, the Cortijo allows visitors to explore a great variety of natural environments, both on the property grounds as well as the surrounding areas.

Their guests will enjoy vacationing in a centuries-old building, a magnificent example of an authentic Andalusian farmhouse converted into a family run country hotel. The varying greens of Mediterranean woods, the brilliant white of the walls and the clear blue of the sky, exude both peace and an unmistakable andalusian flavor.

Beautiful patios and gardens surround the house offering cozy nooks for the guests to relax in harmony with nature. Centenarian trees and a variety of aromatic plants provide cool shade, colours and aromas while we take walks, swim or sunbathe. In the evening, in the gardens near the threshing floor, we can enjoy spectacular sunsets beyond Grazalema.

The Cortijo extends for gorgeous grounds where you can go on long walks during the day or evening. Wheat and sunflower fields, woods of holm-oaks and gall oaks where cattle graze freely, cork trees in production and a small stream, are a sampling of almost all of the surroundings typical of the area.

The Cortijo also offers its guests different garden areas and a pool allowing you to swim and refresh yourself while enjoying the splendid views. Inside the house, a hall with fireplace offers you a comfortable and relaxing place to read by the fire, or have a drink at the “Honesty bar”. Ancient wooden beams, wide stone walls and elegant furniture are the perfect backdrop for your days of rest. The dining room has been constructed on a porch with a big terrace for warmer days and evenings.

The décor has been done with great care, combining family-style furniture with modern comforts. The furniture, the paintings, the details, the cloth and the colours all combine to offer a different sense of harmony in each room. And in all of them abundant natural light is the main theme with generous outdoors windows, even in the bathrooms.

There are two connecting rooms for families or friends who would like that option. With the desire to adapt to any manner of needs, we offer the possibility of setting up extra beds and baby cots.

The terraces have views of the garden and a splendid panorama of the countryside. Two of the rooms have a lovely Andalusian patio with a fountain, offering refreshing coolness even on the hottest days. It is just one of the pleasant nooks that our guests will discover and enjoy during their days of rest at the Cortijo.

Activities: The Park of Grazalema is declared a Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO and a Zone for Special Protection of Birds (ZEPA). The variety of migratory birds and especially those of prey – eagles, falcons, owls or vultures - makes this area of special and unique interest for birders.

Throughout the mountains of Ronda and the Grazalema Park, an extensive network of signed pathways allows for hiking through gorgeous landscapes of great environmental value: on foot, by mountain bike or on horse. The legendary city of Ronda is only 12km from us: the mysterious streets of the old city, the monuments and the cliff of 100 meters are all must-sees. The mountains around offer very special places such as the Genal Valley -with its craggy mountains and chestnuts woods-, the White Villages –more than 25 examples of Andalusian simplicity, beauty and joy-, or the Pileta Cave -with prehistoric paintings.
