It
is a tranquil country house,
magnificently situated on the
edge of the vast Los Arcornocales
National Park. The views across
the Straits of Gibraltar to the
mountains of Morocco are unparalleled.
An ever changing palette of light
and colour creates an inspirational

The
hotel roughly
translates to ‘ kitchen
garden terrace”. Set in
3 acres, seven terraces offer
areas of sanctuary and beauty.
Relax under the shade of the
cork trees or sunbathe by fragrant
mimosa. Towering palms, fresh
vegetables, vibrant flowers,
fig, orange and pear trees enrich
the lush grounds. The pool is
constantly replenished with fresh
spring water that descends from
the mountainous backdrop.
The
main house offers three ensuite
double bedrooms that cater on
a bed and breakfast basis. The
ground floor room has its own
entrance and outside secluded
reading area. The upstairs rooms
look out to open skies and the
continent of Africa. Rooms have
been furnished in a simple and
comfortable manner, calm colours,
soft fabrics and traditional
furniture. All of the water supplied
to our rooms is freshly drawn
from our own spring.
Set
alone in the grounds, the Casita
sleeps two and offers privacy
away from the main house with
its own terrace. Watch the golden
light of the afternoon sun catch
the mountains across the Straits,
and as night falls under a starlit
sky the twinkling lights of morocco
highlight the coastline. Comfortably
furnished it provides guests
with the choice of self-catering
for longer stays.
Activities: The local area offers a broad
selection of restaurants from
traditional tapas to contemporary
cuisine. Algeciras has one of
Andalucia’s best daily
markets offering a wide variety
of freshly caught fish and a
range of hypermarkets for self-caterers.
Tarifa
offers you the opportunity to
ride horses along windswept beaches,
surf the waves, climb rock faces
and mountain bike in the hills.
November to May is the best time
for walkers to see the wealth
of wild flowers that grow in
the area.

Expansive
sandy beaches characterise the
coast of Costa De La Luz. Relax
on the unique beaches of Bolonia,
where sweeping sand dunes meet

de Valdevaqueros, location of
the annual world surfing championships,
or explore the rocky coves of
La Caleta to the east of Tarifa.
