the winter.
Fish and imaginative vegetarian form the basis of the menus for zesty, tasty
cooking.
The restaurant is open twice weekly and reservations can be made in advance
or on arrival.
Vejer has Moorish origins.
The Catholic Church is supposed to have been built on the site of the Arab
mosque and the castle boasts a fine example of a Moorish horseshoe arch.
The Christian reconquest of 1250 bequeathed high stone walls, battlements and
town’s once gated arches.
Traditionally Spanish, Vejer is a place where time is measured differently
and is a great base for touring.
Activities: El Palmar, Vejer’s beach
10 minutes drive away, golden
sands and crashing Atlantic rollers.
Los
Caños, a pine backed bay
past Trafalgar point, which lent
its name to the famous battle.
