Surrounded
by the typical mountainous landscape
of Cantabria and by the beautiful
Coast of Trasmiera; an old villa
with over 100 years of history,
where you can revive the pleasure
of the ancient is the feeling
that enjoys whoever decides to
spare a few days inside.
The Inn has 10 double rooms available
and a suite, all of them different
but with a warm and quiet atmosphere
which makes you shift to the
past, without
overlooking, of course, all the modern commodities such as full bath, TV, welcome
gifts, etc…)
In
the ground floor there are two
double rooms directly connected
to the garden and with a 25 square
meter terrace each one, ideal
for breakfast, sunbathing or
reading while watching the children
play in the garden.
The
first floor counts with 5 double
bedrooms. Two of them have the
possibility of intercommunicating,
ideal for the accommodation of
the whole family. It also counts
with two other rooms with balcony
and wonderful views to the valley
of Ribamontán al Mar.
Four
more bedrooms upstairs stand
out for their sloping ceilings
and huge windows from which you
can make out the Magdalena Palace
and Santander Bay.
However,
the most appealing part of the
house is the suite or “special
room” with living room
with fireplace, hydro massage
bath and an endless amount of
details, which make this room
especially suitable for anniversaries
and unforgettable dates.
In their guests exclusive use
cafeteria you will enjoy the
taste of an excellent breakfast;
freshly cooked bread, sponge
cakes and home made marmalades,
coffee,
tea and also farmyard eggs with bacon or ham. Nothing better than starting
the day having breakfast in the gardens under the faint sunlight, reading the
newspaper, listening to music or just relaxing and enjoying the precious views
around the inn.
You will relax reading a book, having a look to the newspaper, tasting a cup
of coffee, enjoying a drink by the warm fireplace.
The
Inn is placed in the region of
Ribamontán al Mar, one
of the most beautiful of Cantabria,
where we can enjoy spectacular
mountain passes, riding schools,
golf courses, bike lanes, sailing
tradition villages with their
own gastronomy, regular bus services,
and besides, it is am ideal starting
point to sightsee other areas
of the region.
Activities: At about 300 m. of the inn is
the Somo beach, an extensive
white sand area of 6 km; from
here we will start a long walk
to discover dunes and precious
creeks up to Laredo’s beaches.
The most daring will be able to continue the route throughout a spectacular
cliff up to Langre beach, probably the most beautiful of Cantabria.
There are a few ecological routes within this environment, specially designed
to get to know the flora and fauna of the place and to visit the most singular
sites in the local villages. Furthermore, you will find infinity of walk paths,
not signposted, passing through interesting areas that can be covered on foot.
Part of the beauty of the Cantabrian sea eradicates in its waves, privileged
place for the aquatic sport par excellence, surf. All the beaches around present
proper conditions for its practice: they are wide open to the sea and north
oriented, which allows the waves to get in frequently. We recommend Somo for
surfing, where several surf championships are celebrated everywhere.
