The
Hotel is located in the heart
of Segovia, between the Alcazar
and the Aqueduct, right in front
of the Plaza Mayor.
The hotel is a fine old 19th-century
townhouse with wrought-iron balconies
and red-tiled roof faces and the decoration is in keeping — carved mirrors,
elegant armchairs, a lovely staircase leading up and up — with a liberal
dash of more modern furnishing.
The
Hotel is a perfect place for
a long stay, as well as for business
trips. It combines tradition
and modern comforts and furthermore,
a buffet breakfast is served
in the dining-room. A restaurant
opened in November 2001, conference
rooms and parking facilities
are also available.
The
hotel has 39 remarkable and unique
bedrooms with balconies distributed
in four floors facing the Main
Square, and they all have views
of the Cathedral, the Calle Real
(the most important pedestrian
street) and the church of San
Miguel.
They all have air-condition,
heating, cable television, piped
music, mini-bar, safety deposit
box, direct-line telephone and
fully equiped bathrooms, decorated
in a fin-de-siècle style.
Each
has a different colour scheme;
headboards are handpainting,
there are carefully-chosen rugs
on the parquet floors wuth curtains
to match, chandeliers — all
slightly wedding-cakey but very
welcoming and fairly priced given
the level of comfort. They are
rated by size.
The
Suite (45 m2) is equipped with
a bathroom with hydromassage
bath, minibar, Home Cinema TV,
DVD and has views on the Plaza
Mayor, the Cathedral and the
Sierra.
Segovia
is a Humanity Historic Heritage
City, the hotel is located in
the Major Square in front of
the Cathedral, and from here
we will get Segovia' romanic
aqueduct just 5 minutes walking
and on its foot Casa Candido
Restaurant, the best place to
