are all nearby. The many Cistercian
monasteries and medieval castles
scattered around the countryside
contain a wealth of local history
while Verdú (30km) is renowned
for fine ceramics. For quite breathtaking
views, head north into the Pyrenees
to Andorra which is less than a
two hour drive.
